EL-A is an architecture studio offering bespoke service with attention to good design and detail.

Our work has a distinctly contemporary feel, distilling parameters of site, project brief and resources into meaningful spatial experience.

We are looking for simplicity paired with tension. 

We aim to deliver architecture that does justice to the nature and quality of materials through careful detailing, and to build efficiently and sustainably.

We shape our buildings to connect to their environment, with coherent flow between external and internal spaces.

In a nutshell, it’s all about identifying your needs and wants, designing a solution and implementing the solution.

Starting with a good conversation, we identify the challenges involved and the phases required to deliver each project. We can provide full range architectural service or tailor our services based on specific project needs.

 

We work with the client to draw up a program of requirements which will serve as the basis for the design. 

At this early stage, we will consider any technical, legal, economic or other parameters influencing the project and advise on its feasibility.

During design, we gradually progress from conceptual design to a full set of drawings to support the Planning and Building Permit applications and then a full package of drawings and specifications for tender. We co-ordinate any consultant input, do material research, choose products, furniture, fixtures and equipment.

 

During construction, we take the creative direction and work with all parties involved in realizing the project. We carry out regular site inspections and resolve design queries from site. At handover, we make the final inspection and advise on resolution of any defects.

 

We are happy to take on smaller projects requiring bespoke interior design solutions, furniture design or installations.
